Lesley, I am so sorry.
OK- on to something better for you.....
perhaps Xeloda? I did that and it is totally doable. it is pills... no infusion!
I know it kicks major cancer butt.

This sucks, I know. But you have lots of ammo in your arsenal and we are going to get you through this!!!

Love to you,
g

(((Leslie)))

I am in a real quandary concerning CAT Scans, MRI diagnostics, PET Scans. Liver Scans, Ultrasound evaluations, and who the heck is finalizing or making a medical analysis from these expensive tests.  It is presumed...and in my case, the discovery was that apples, oranges, slip on a banana peel, why?  Spots or no spots?  Calcifications, or lesion?  Tumor Activity or Scar Tissue?  Why am I told not to worry, when a CAT Scan found a "possible" lesion, oh, "people have emerging lesions on their Pituitary Glands in the Brain all the time, and it is nothing", or, "the nodule in your breast is unchanged, not to worry.", but, but, but.."why is it there, what is it?"...and the liver...why have no scans been performed?   "Don't worry, be happy"...

I sometimes feel like I should not be posting on Club Mets, since it's not something I have been diagnosed with, at present.  On-the-other-hand, it serves to warn me about the imaging and tests which my unfortunate experience with present Oncologists have failed to give or even bother to question.

Forgive my intrusion, please.  You are dear to me, and this news is alarming, however, you have some brilliant minds who will help to guide the way.

Sending lots of prayers, (((hugs))) and fairy kisses...
Be well, and soon!

Love,
Indi

Lesley,
I am sorry to hear that.  You must be feeling disappointment, and fear, and a hundred other things.  I will keep you in my prayers for sure.  There are a ton of options, as Gina mentioned, and hopefully soon you will find the one that works for you!

Sending warm thoughts and positive energy!
*Hugs*
Kristin

Lesley - Gird your loins and know there are many                                                                                                                        ways to turn these reports into victories.  I find reading Edge's pearls of wisdom very positive.  Love, Mary

we are adding Xeloda to the mix, then she wants to scan me in a couple of months. She did ask my input...and I agreed that I thought Xeloda sounded good...she thinks perhaps Abraxane did hold it off somewhat, since the spots are just spots and the nodule just is more pronounced

SO, are you going to continue Abraxane?  Are you on Avastin?  What about the PARP trial?  Can you get into that?

Been thinking about you lots.  {{hugs}}

well, I am now on Abraxane, Avastin, Xeloda and Zometa...

she did mention the PARP, but I think I might have to go to UCLA for that, which is doable, thats near where my mom lives.

Hi Lesley,
I am thinking about you as well.  Trying to get back into the swing of things after being out with the flu for a week!  Anyway, I hope your new plan is in place and is kicking some cancer butt.
*Hugs*
